FAQs
Who are you?
We are Jim Cipollini and Jessica Wojcinski, two martial artists out of Hendersonville, TN. Jim is an America's Best Defense certified Krav Maga instructor, 2nd degree Krav Maga black belt, and jiu jitsu blue belt. Jessica is a 1st degree Krav Maga black belt and women's ambassador for Hendersonville Martial Arts' women's self defense program. You can learn more about us on our About Us page.
Where do you host your seminars?
Wherever you need us! We are a mobile self defense company, meaning we do not operate out of a designated physical location. We will come to any business in the greater Nashville area as long as they have space to host us.
What kind of space do you need?
Any open floor room will do as long as there is enough room for each participant to move around freely. We can adjust to smaller spaces, but generally the more room the better.
How long are your seminars?
1-1.5 hours depending on the group. We tailor each seminar to the specific organization and participants we are training. This includes length of time and content.
What if I don't work out? What if I've never done martial arts before?
No problem! Our #1 goal is to teach practical self defense that can be executed by ANYONE. We only ask that you come in with an open mind and are willing to try new things. We'll guide you through the rest.
What do I wear?
Non-revealing workout clothes. Everyone needs to wear a shirt with sleeves (no tank tops) and close-toed shoes. No zippers, sequins, jewelry, or anything that can snag. This is not to cramp your style - it is to keep you and those around you safe and comfortable. There's nothing worse than snagging your skin on a zipper, ripping an earring out of your ear, then sticking your face in a sweaty armpit. Trust us.
Do I need to bring anything else?
A water bottle and something to keep your hair back/out of your face.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to participating in a seminar. The purpose of this training is to give participants the skills to get home safe from potentially life-threatening situations. Some of the content we cover and context for that content may be triggering to some individuals. We encourage participants to work through those triggers as this often leads to healing and empowerment. However, we are committed to creating a safe environment and will never push anyone beyond what they are safely capable of.
