Who We Are

Jim & Jessica Cipollini

In 2021, Jess started taking Krav Maga classes at Hendersonville Martial Arts where Jim was an instructor. They first became friends, then business partners, then husband and wife. The idea for Genesis was born out of their mutual passion for self defense, mental health advocacy, and empowering their community.

More About Jim

Jim is an ABD (America’s Best Defense) certified Krav Maga instructor and second degree black belt. He is a Co-Founder and Mental Health Coach of Inner Solutions where he provides one-on-one support for clients suffering from mental health disorders. He specializes in anxiety, depression, and trauma processing. On Tuesdays and Thursdays he provides free mental health support and community via JimtheMentalHealthCoach on Twitch. In his time off he enjoys learning martial arts and philosophy, playing guitar, backpacking, and spending time with his fiancé and their two dogs.

More About Jess

Jess is a first degree black belt in Krav Maga. She joined the Hendersonville Martial Arts (HMA) community after taking one of HMA’s free women’s self defense seminars. She is now a women's ambassador at HMA, assisting with the new women's self defense program. When she’s not at the dojo she can be found reading, watching true crime documentaries, kayaking, or spending time with Jim and their family of pets.
